AI code security cost and score calculator
ANSWER FIRST
Set how much each criterion matters and how many developers you have, and the table re-ranks all eleven tools and prices the ones whose prices are public. With our published weights, Legit Security ranks first at 4.4. Only Semgrep, GitHub Advanced Security and Aikido Security publish prices that can be multiplied out for a team; the others show their published starting price or 'Not published, contact sales'.

Our ranking uses one set of weights. Your priorities may differ: a team that must see a price before a call, or that cares most about a quick start, will weight the criteria differently. Change the inputs below and the ranking and costs update in your browser. Nothing is sent or saved.
Semgrep prices per contributor, GitHub per active committer and Aikido per plan with users included.

How the numbers are calculated
Your score = (ai code and assistant coverage x 5 + endpoint and tamper resistance x 4 + governance x 4 + developer experience x 3 + buying clarity x 2 + remediation and aspm x 2) / 20. Each criterion score is our editorial 0-5 score. Monthly cost = published price per unit x developers, or the published flat plan price when the plan includes that many users. Annual cost = monthly cost x 12, less a published annual discount where one exists. Cost per score point = monthly cost / your score.
Scores are editorial assessments from public vendor material; no hands-on testing. Prices are as published on vendor pages, reviewed October 2026; taxes, discounts and minimums vary.
Frequently asked questions
How do I use the calculator?
Set the number of developers, pick a plan where a vendor publishes more than one, and move the sliders to show how much each criterion matters to you. The table re-ranks the eleven tools and recalculates costs as you change the inputs.
Why do most tools show no cost?
Only Semgrep, GitHub Advanced Security and Aikido Security publish prices that can be multiplied out for a team. Snyk publishes a Team starting price for up to 10 developers without a per-developer figure, and Legit Security, Backslash Security, Endor Labs, OX Security, Cycode, Apiiro and Wiz Code publish no prices, so the calculator shows 'Not published, contact sales' for them.
What do the sliders do?
Each slider sets the importance of one criterion from 0 to 10. The defaults are our published weights divided by five, so the default ranking matches our published ranking. A slider at 0 removes that criterion from the score.
Are my inputs saved?
No. The calculator runs in your browser and does not store or send your inputs. 'Reset to our weights' restores the defaults.
